My 1st Mining Experience with Windows 10 Sucked & A Poor Look at NiceHash
Yeah, yeah, yeah – the critics have weighed in, and this video was released too early. But it took off almost immediately, and good or bad, I left it on YouTube. My first experience with Windows 10 and mining sucked. Everything went wrong, again and again. Win 10 was as unstable as (insert your own bad pun here). Actually, it was so bad that I decided to blow it completely away and start all over. THAT, of course, was after the release of this video.
I can report that my experience with Windows 10 and mining was much better the second go around. The whole problem I had in NiceHash was NOT replicated the second time. I still stand by my decision to NOT use Windows 10 though. Having to buy a license for every rig AND buy an SSD for every rig still makes no sense to me when Linux can do it with no license to buy and Linux runs from a $5 USB. That was really the point of my video (although airing my frustrations while in the throws of being pissed) was probably not the best thing. Either way, good or bad, I’m keeping the video up. Check it out, hate all over it – I really don’t care. What’s done is done, and I still hate Windows for mining.
